I Was Speechless

Are there times in your life when you were speechless? I have at least 5 of these moments:

#1 When I was asked my name at 5 years old – it was my first few days in our neighbourhood kindergarten when my teacher got everyone to stand in front of the class to introduce themselves. When it was my turn, I stood and froze… I grew up stammering and never thought I could speak well!

#2 When I found out that my science teacher in primary school walked to school every day because he wanted to save on bus fares. It took him an hour each way – no wonder all of us thought he has a weird smell!

#3 When a group of girls went after me to take my photos at a school carnival in Secondary School – I always thought I am good looking but I certainly did not expect that. It has been 18 years since and I have found out that good looks are temporal! No one even takes a second look nowadays.

#4 When I got married – Joy walked down the aisle at The Cornerstone. She looked stunning! I realized then that this is for life and it takes hard work to live happily ever after. It is getting better and better each day…

#5 When I asked Christ into my life at 15 – it happened in a Chalet at Pasir Ris. My friends got me to renounce the devil and when I tried doing that, i choked and no words came out. I struggled for a minute and burst out crying. It was then that I felt a peace that is out of this world. I knew that I was born again! God has reconciled me back to Himself through the finished work of His Son on the cross. I want to love Him more and walk close with Him all the days of my life. Oh taste and see that the Lord is GOOD!
