Sunday Night Reflections

March 1st, 2010

1. Met the youth leaders and the worship team after pre-service prayer. If we want prayer to be a priority, we will have to model it. We want to fill the church with praying Christians, creating a conducive environment for the Holy Spirit to move!
2. The ushers got to dispose the cordial, coffee and tea because the water used wasn’t clean. We had to use the bottled water instead. It is costlier but that reinforced our value on hospitality.
3. Felt that God wanted to give us the Kingdom, which is righteousness, peace or shalom, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Shalom is not just an absence of problem but it means a overall well-being of the believer – spirit, soul and body. Believe that miracles were happening as we prayed!
4. Enjoyed speaking on the Omniscience of God. Established 3 simple truths – that God’s knowledge is limitless, that He doesn’t have to learn and His knowledge is complete. God knows our SHAPE, our SECRETs, our STRUGGLES and our SERVICE!
5.As usual, loved the fellowship. Spoke to Nigel, a first time guest, who has the vision to write books for children. I am inspired. God has truly placed different gifts in His people. I am thankful that we have guests every week and encouraged to know that they really liked our gatherings!
6. Hosted dinner at my place. Good time getting to know Eugene, Edwina, Derrick and Sophia better. New friends that I am growing to love more and more!
7. Now, just finished teaching the kids. Can’t imagine that they are in primary school. Great kids. Make them more like You, Jesus!
